Expansion of EVCO HR:

During this time of uncertainty there are a lot of questions relating to employee management, temporary shut downs, layoffs and best practices related to COVID-19. EVCO continues to offer EVCO HR for all our clients use. This includes our EVCO HR On-Demand Service for real time answers and a dedicated landing page for COVID-19 related materials and news for EVCO customers.

Understanding COVID-19 Ongoing Changes:

In this State of Emergency, the impact of COVID-19 has public health and welfare implications that transcend the medical impact exposure can have on people. These implications range from financial to mental health needs and beyond.

Although there have been no programs that have specifically responded to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (SB HR 6201) responds to the following concerns:

  • Food Insecurity
  • Family and Medical Leave
  • Unemployment and Underemployment
  • Paid Sick Leave

Insurance Carriers are working on solutions to better serve businesses which we are keeping close tabs on. To date they have implemented the following to help insured members affected by COVID-19:

  • No Copayments or Deductibles related to COVID-19 screenings
  • Coverage of COVI-19 screenings on HDHP plans while maintain compliance status
  • Relaxed pharmaceutical distribution on most Rx’s
  • Increase in services related to virtual visits
  • Ability to enroll in COBRA and/or through the Individual Exchange as a Qualifying Event in the event of job loss

Next Steps:

As this situation unfolds, the EVCO team will continue to keep EVCO Enroll & EVCO HR up-to-date with the latest resources and enrollment capabilities. As other updates become available, we'll share emails like this to help you navigate concerns and strategies related to Health Benefits and other employer concerns.

Again, please contact your EVCO representative (help@evcoinsurance.com) if you have questions or need assistance.
