While many things may seem uncertain with social distancing protocols, related economic impact, and a progressing pandemic, we wanted to let you know that EVCO is continuing to ensure that our client needs are serviced at the highest level, and that EVCO Enroll / EVCO HR, remains active and up-to-date.

Our team is thinking of you; we hope that everyone is safe and getting the assistance needed. Don't hesitate to reach out to us for assistance.

To help you navigate this situation successfully, here's an update on what we're doing and assisting with.

Updates to Businesses:

This can be a challenging time for businesses as the economic impact of COVID-19 has affected the majority of industries. EVCO has brainstormed the best possible options related to the continuation of benefits for you and your employees during this time. If you find yourself looking for guidance and available options, your dedicated EVCO broker will be happy to discuss further with you. EVCO has a diverse book of clients and industries and has been actively keeping a pulse on industry news and trends.

Continuation of EVCO Enroll & Services:

EVCO takes pride in being on the forefront of benefits and employee management technology. As such our clients enjoy the ability to fully manage employees and benefits on our EVCO Enroll platform. EVCO’s operations are fully functional from any computer or mobile device to manage your group. Those who are up for renewal will be able to continue to enjoy virtual renewal meetings and fully virtual open enrollment meetings and online enrollments.

Expansion of EVCO HR:

During this time of uncertainty there are a lot of questions relating to employee management, temporary shut downs, layoffs and best practices related to COVID-19. EVCO continues to offer EVCO HR for all our clients use. This includes our EVCO HR On-Demand Service for real time answers and a dedicated landing page for COVID-19 related materials and news for EVCO customers.

Understanding COVID-19 Ongoing Changes:

In this State of Emergency, the impact of COVID-19 has public health and welfare implications that transcend the medical impact exposure can have on people. These implications range from financial to mental health needs and beyond.

Although there have been no programs that have specifically responded to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (SB HR 6201) responds to the following concerns:

  • Food Insecurity
  • Family and Medical Leave
  • Unemployment and Underemployment
  • Paid Sick Leave

Insurance Carriers are working on solutions to better serve businesses which we are keeping close tabs on. To date they have implemented the following to help insured members affected by COVID-19:

  • No Copayments or Deductibles related to COVID-19 screenings
  • Coverage of COVI-19 screenings on HDHP plans while maintain compliance status
  • Relaxed pharmaceutical distribution on most Rx’s
  • Increase in services related to virtual visits
  • Ability to enroll in COBRA and/or through the Individual Exchange as a Qualifying Event in the event of job loss

Next Steps:

As this situation unfolds, the EVCO team will continue to keep EVCO Enroll & EVCO HR up-to-date with the latest resources and enrollment capabilities. As other updates become available, we'll share emails like this to help you navigate concerns and strategies related to Health Benefits and other employer concerns.

Again, please contact your EVCO representative (help@evcoinsurance.com) if you have questions or need assistance.

In good health,

The EVCO Team
